Bought a 4K Veolo box in June 2017 and used 6 - 8 times. Last week, discovered the system hung on the “4K Veolo” page for more than 20 mins. Sent the box to AC Ryan on 24/06/18 and the system hung, displaying the same error for 30 mins. The staff said that the box needs to be used at least once a week to ensure the softwares are always up-to-date. I wondered why as I do not face similar problems with other TV boxes (as my relatives are using other branded TV boxes). The staff concluded the mainboard is damaged and they felt it is not advised to repair as it is costly ($120). Instead, the staff offered me an option, to trade-in my TV box for a latest TV model box at $160. I asked the staff, if this is a sound option to him and he said no. Then, why would u offer me. I left the shop in despair, sadness over a poor aftersales support, as a mere 30 mins start-up test, concluded my box to be “dead”. My close friend heard agony, suggested me to power up the box, leave it connected to wifi, and see if it works. I left the box connected for near 12 hours and when I returned home from work, I was shocked to see my box has came alive, and I can search, stream and view movies. Question here, is there a real problem with AC Ryan support team, failing to conduct a proper test and simply ask their customer to trade-in their set for a newer model at a cost of $160. I am blessed for not accepting their offer, otherwise, I could have lose more money. This is a pure integrity issue.
