AC Ryan very 1st Android Tablet

Wanna ask those who r using the 7" Tab for their user experience with the AC Ryan tab. U guys got any problem in getting free public Wifi with it?

So far after the newly release firmware from ACR, I can see and feel a great improvement compare to the default firmware and user experience.

As for the Wifi setting, i personally felt that it had boost the wifi signal and the connection stability. No issue face when connect over free public wifi outside (E.g. National library , Mac , Office internet , or even fren network) Connection is simple and easy.. last then 1min and the tab7 is fully connected.

bluetooth - a n00b question

A very n00b question about AC Ryan (ACR VT97100) ... does it have a bluetooth receiver built in? the data sheets doesn't say anything about it, hence asking. Saw one at HarveyNormann for 229 bucks with some freebies. Any better deals anywhere else?

Please advice.

me too...so far don have any issue... think is normal that it wont charge up to 100%, mayb you can refer to this as reference:

I bought OEM chargers for my phone. Some of them are not able to charge the phone to full or after charging to full, very quickly drop from 100% after I unplug. Some also charger very slowly (I've change a few OEM charges before).

If others using the same tablet model and charger can charge to 100%, and you cannot, then should check further. Having Wifi/BT or other battery draining apps may cause a dif also. So best compare with wifi off and not running apps.

My understanding is that in general, when the device reaches 100% charge (as indicated), it is still not full charge. The charging will go into trickle charge and then top up the rest. So you should get 100% if you charge long enough. Whether it hovers between 99 and 100 depends on the calibration. So it ACR decides to calibrate it that way, then ok. But they should not.. cause confusion.

Again, if others can go 100% with the same firmware and you cannot, then you should check with ACR in case there is a HW problem. Could jolly well be a defect charger.

my 2 cents.. I gues a number of people also know if they use battery apps like Battery Doctor on their iPhone... ;-)

No. Does not have BT built-in. But they say can support BT dongle.. have to wait for the firmware to support.

What freebies ? Can share ?

Challenger is selling at $219 for members.

anyone can take the screenshot without root? i had try few method but it didnot work on my tab. if you success doing this without root, please share thx.

so i decide to root this tab, there is scary because don have any resource and toolkit is dedicate for ac ryan tab 7. lucky that i had success rooted this device. finally i can take screenshot by screenshot app which required rooted.

sure, but let me verify and cfm the toolkit is usable and stable for tab before i share this out.

fyi im using the toolkit is mainly for nexus 7, if you guy willing take the risk then you can visit

ACR, i recently found out that tab7 has a issue on ..

When we install some apps from google play, and after it's been installed, normally it create a shortcut on the home screen as well as the application screen. But this behaviors does not take effect when our first home screen shortcut ICON is full, the newly installed apps does not automatic create the shortcut in the next home screen(page 2).

Is this the behavior for tab7? Or could it be a bug ?
Coz when using on phone, 1st home screen is full, it does created in 2nd home screen. Same logic goes to iPhone too.
But tab7 does not follow tis pattern.

*FYI: If i need tis to be created, I will need to be at the 2nd home screen where it's empty if few apps on it.

for my case it does, if the home screen page is full, it wil created the shortcut icon into other screen. maybe you try to search the other page screen.

for those people intend to root, the toolkit is not give your device fully root status. under some circumstances, it will terminate root status meaning that it was temp solution for tab since the toolkitis dedicated for nesux 7.
