It helps? Bcos I off my wifi and using dongle for surfing....the only issue that surprised me was that even in off mode, doing nothing, battery drain off less than 3 days of inactivation. :(

if you don't shut it down completely using on/off switch, and if there are apps running in the background, the battery will drain.

Sorry for the confusion. The tab is fully charged and left completely shut down (not being use at all) and my family was away. After 3 days when I came home, I tried to on it, the battery shown it dropped till 35%. I was

Do note that on any device you can not have the same battery level after days of not using it as rechargeable batteries undergo self-discharging when left unused.

That is atrocious, battery drain shouldn't be that much unless it is a faulty battery. You should go to their Kaki Bukit office to demand for a replacement. ;(

not true wor.

some device battery can hold their charge very well over long periods of no usage.

my old ainol v6000hdt PMP holds its charge well even when I didn't use it for 1 year. From 60% drop to 30+% after 1 year of no usage.

my old HTC android phone battery also can tahan for weeks if left totally unused.

Normal battery do not drain to 35% in just 3 days when the device is totally shut down. It is either a faulty battery or the battery in your crap tab is really damn inferior. From the reply, obviously you are just trying to shrink from your responsibility to look into your customer's feedback.

Honestly lah, 100% to 35% in 3 days while totally switched off is ridiculous. No way to smoke around it. My Tab 7.7 switched on, wifi connected everything syncing can last 4+ days (20+% left) if I don't touch it at all.

Last time I tested on my Samsung S1, switched on, all connectivity off (airplane mode). It lasted more than around 20 days before it hit single digit battery life.

Standby mode battery drain I can understand. But what kind of crap battery does AR give with their already crap tab that drains even when the power is completely off? :s13:

pls explain how you left it completely shut down. Did you power off, that is you see this message on screen "Would you like to shut down?" and you click ok to power off?

yes, completely shut down aka "power off", beside this, the battery bar also hay wired! It will hang on showing 75% charge left and suddenly it can just drop to 30%, have monitored for few days, same patterns....definitely something wrong with the battery indicator!

Obviously you had bought a defective unit (I wonder if it is a refurbished set?). You have the right to ask for an exchange. Has AC Ryan contacted you about your problem because he seems to be avoiding you here? If not, then no choice you have to make a trip down to their Kaki Bukit office to make your claim. If AC Ryan refuses to honour their so-called "warranty", then seek proper redress through CASE/Small Claim Tribunal etc.

Hi Everyone :)

Regarding the Tab7 battery thing, if you can used your tab for 4-6 hours depending on your usage then i can say that it is good. Battery indicator as we know is a very varied subject and mostly android phones also have this, sad but its true that you cannot totally depend on the percentage level of the battery as it will vary accordingly to your everyday usage. Also please make sure that there is no overclocking of processor which also caused the battery to drain fast.

Now for the unused Tab which according to some the battery draining is fast, you might want to give us chance to check your unit. Please note that for this type of issue, we will require you to leave the tab to us for 2-3 days and we will monitor and do our own testing. Do note that you have to backup all the apps that you have and delete all the accounts like email for your security.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Set Date & Time

How to set the Date & Time on the Tablet?
Automatice date & time ( Use network-provided time ) or manual setting. My time always out of sync!

i do realise this issue as well. However, once your're in wifi range, the time will be resync.
