Seems like lots of players on the app store has AC3 DTS audio decoding removed. I read that the Infuse Pro (S$ 14.98) supports AC3 DTS decoding. But are there any other solutions / players which support AC3 decoding beside buying such an expensive player app?

Thanks!

I found the answer yesterday while browsing the appstore.

Xfplay does this and it is 100% free.

That's because there is a licensing cost to this encoding. So there are no free media players (as far as I know) that supports this. Only paid ones.

Yes indeed. Android is affected as well but because Android allows installation of the codecs, it is not so bad as compared to iPhone.

Besides Infuse Pro, I like AVPlayer (by eplayworks). It practically plays every single format thrown at it.

Just tested. The player is able to play MKV with AC3 audio. Confirmed. And its supports RMVB HD as well. Excellent player!

Luckily no need to pay so much just for a AC3 supported player.
