You will get a chance to prepare FS in audit, no worries. What you learn in uni can throw away. Every year standards keep changing, what you remember may have already change since you graduated.

Again it depends on employers. You see their requirements. Some just mention they want someone with number of X years of audit experience, some will mention they would prefer someone from big 4.

Of course big 4 experience sure can help some cause they are branded. But if you are not into audit maybe you can consider not going to big 4.

So from where do I have to learn if I throw away what I have learnt in uni?
But my senior prevents me to learn anything bro.
I audit company with assets around 500K- 1 million only, but my senior just gave me the cash/bank account. The cash account is easy la, don't have unpresented cheque, currency gain/loss, or outtanding deposit, so I don't need to think too much, just check it with bank statements, get confirmation from bank, that's it. The others are admin job. And my senior ask me for not asking the clients if I have questions, have to discuss with team but she does not trust my capability.
She also asked me not to bring what I have learnt in uni to the job, it's totally different, but she did not teach me anything and just give me cash account and admin job.how to improve then?

And yesterday, my manager almost blamed me because I didn't ask the client about costing what client's used. Actually, I have told my senior several times and she just ignored me.
And she just discussed company's problem with another experienced assistant 2.
She just ignored me, I am nobody there. This makes me want to quit audit and work as account assistant.
What should I do bro?

your bad luck then... since i got my first accounting job, it is always female that are my senior and they are really bad.... if you have a chance, get a male to coach you, never have a female boss or senior... they will get on your nerves.

I agreed on that, its not accounting related, but my ex-supervisior is female and I challenged her to "charge" me. In the end, I didnt get my performance bonus.

But I am in the wrong, I am too impulsive..

It have to depend on the people you meet. Often it depends on your seniors and managers, they decide whether you have a good or bad life in your firm.

Sometimes you have to be initiative. I know some people are not easy to work with but if you want to learn something, you have to be thick skin. Get scolded is part and parcel, you will get used to it. You don't ask, you never know.

Because seldom you will meet people who would sit down and teach you nicely and patiently. No one started out easy. We all have to go through something. It's how you view and handle it.

But my other female colleagues are very friendly and very patient to teach me, but unfortunately they are not in my team. In my team, the senior is very easy to angry and always expect me to be perfect and she doesn't trust me. She handles almost all the job. The another assistant told me that she cannot teach other people, she is not good at teaching.

Then you very suay siao to have this senior this time. You try to ask the experience assistant for help. You better hope next audit would not be with the same senior. Sometimes is like that, there are good and bad seniors/managers around. This type of thing very hard to control, you cannot choose your own audit assignments.

Sometimes friendly seniors are not what they seems, in front of you very nice and patient to teach you, behind your back they bad mouth you, very common nowadays, see until don't want to see.

you have to understand that a senior is under a lot of stress and deadlines...

so it is very easy to get angry and agitated...

do you know that sometimes by giving an assistant some parts of the job, it takes up so much more of the time than if she handled it all by herself? she can probably do it in 20% of the time than if done by the assistant, worse if the assistant keep asking a lot of questions (esp if the assistant very blur kind) which takes up even more of her time which can be used for other stuff...

in the end a patient senior who sits by your side explaining everything may become a lousy senior in the eyes of the manager because cannot meet the deadline

this is not good for the development of the staff but with very tight deadlines, sometimes its much more efficient...

but anyway you said the company has assets around 500K - 1 million only, i am assuming based on this only, this is a very very very small company lor what more other things do you want to do? got senior + assistant to do, the budget probably is super burst one lor...

somemore if you dont like to do admin stuff, you can leave already like at this level... else wait until you become senior then you will know what is really admin stuff...
