You don't pay him to ask other people.

Need help.

I have been called up for ICT for 3 weeks. End at top May. I am from Airforce and I believe it should be stay out. However, I was informed only of this now. Shouldn't it be 6mths notice?

I am doing fulltime study now. Anyone ever in same situation where you got called up for ICT and the ICT end just 1 month before the exam? Any chance I can defer it? Doing 3 P paper now.......

Ah Gong haven't been calling me up for duty yet.

But I have heard from some fella country man that deferment request was unsuccessful.

Same situation, I went full time to study ACCA, was so afraid of being call up by Ah gong... as it will seriously cock up my plan to complete ACCA. I can understand your feeling.

On one hand they inject the foreigner and want us to be competitive... on the other hand. I feel they weight us down with ns liability. It is like... we need to clear SOC with SBO plus one water bottle full... other clear it with clean fatique...
To be faster... takes a lot more effort...

Haha.... My last post on this ah gong thing..... Nvm..... going to call the them up. Going to call the Major directly to ask for deferment. I read at other forum with them saying higher chance to deferred by talking to him.

Got some questions.

I need to obtain acceptance letter from both SAA Global and Kaplan for application of deferment of my ICT.

Question
Is there such letter?
If not, can I just used my receipt?

I got called up for a 2 week ICT during my ACCA studies and it happened to fall on the week just before my exam period. Furthermore, i am in a army combat unit. got the damn sian feeling when i received it.

You can call up the deferment personnel and they will tell what you need to do. s*** thumb.you need to spend time to get the supporting docs for your deferment. I think Receipt should be ok .Anyway, you can always ask the deferment personnel if it is appropriate. If it is not acceptable, then you will have to call up kaplan/saa to assist u in getting better supporting doc.

Update as at 10th Jan.
I called SAA Global and Kaplan up. I was informed there is such thing as an acceptance letter. Oh well, I have already submitted my request for Deferment. If it failed, I will just send additional stuff.

i'm a ACCA student currently waiting for my final result. i had already passed all my fundamental papers and P2. i'm trying to get a full-time job now so that i could gain working exp and study part time if i failed any of the remaining papers (P1 P3 P6 P7)

most of the job requirement i see in job street needs relevant working exp and hardly any of them mention ACCA at all >"<

can someone give me some advise as to where to find job and wad position should i be seeking??
