Yes you can. But the fee and course fee would only be out 1 week before or after the exam result.

i think u can register at anytime. if the classes already started, and if you don't mind you can just join in.

the issue is whether you are an ACCA member yet. if you're not, then it might be too late to apply and make it for the exams i'm not sure about the deadline.

if im not wrong compulsory to take advance audit.

I am also puzzled over this. It could also be that you need advance audit to become practicing CPA. There is a slight different. Lots of CPA outside have the title but it seem they may not be able to sign report. I guess only.=:p

Most people will get non-practising CPA if you do not need to sign financial statements or audited financial statements. only finance director, audit partner requires practising CPA. also they are less strict on non-practising CPA for training hours.

So my guess is correct? As in P7 is a MUST if want to get Practicing CPA but NOT if just a CPA title?

I wont say switch. Practicing CPA can get into position that require a Non Practicing CPA. However, definitely not the other way. :)

erm what i meant was the membership..not the position you hold in your job.

If say im holding a job that require practising CPA and then when i change job that does not require..so can i switch my membership to non practising? Then few years later if i change job again to a position whereby it requires practising, again can i switch the membership back to practising?

when u obtained a practising CPA membership, most probably you are already a finance director or audit partner earning more than 10k a month so why would you want to go for another job that doesnt requires you to sign financial statements? thats like downgrading... furthermore if you can obtain a practisiing CPA, your company will pay for the membership fee.

as long as you apply for practising or non-practising CPA, you will need to fufill the academic requirements which advance audit is 1 of the requirements.

if you have done advance audit during your acca, then you will do an introductory course to convert to CPA after 3 yrs post-grad experience. otherwise, you will need to sit for ICPAS audit paper before you can convert to CPA.

Global Auditing

Hey I am thinking of going for global auditing in either one of the big4 auditors after I have completed ACCA, may I know if anyone here knows the requirements, pros and cons for it?

Like.. Will there be CPA licensing implications when you are returning back to Singapore? To be more specifically, becoming a practising CPA?

What are the views/worth of a global auditor in Singapore compared to the others in the market?

Is qualifying for global auditing positions as tough as being chosen to audit banks in KPMG?

Do you get to have better pay to accommodate for higher living expenses for example when u are posted to USA or UK?

Anything that I should know when considering for global audit positions.
I am just thinking of seeing UK or USA from it.

Thanks people:)

Hi all,

Anyone has applied for exemption using UOL Accounting and Finance degree? Which modules do we get to be exempted? Are we suppose to be exempted from all the fundamental modules?

Thanks in advance.
