How is GSW teaching style. I heard he likes to scold people and talk a lot of stuff irrelevant to P6. Is it true ?

Yeah, he waste quite alot of time scolding and talking irrelevant things during normal classes. But revision class better cause he focus on going through questions only. I would suggest u take his revision class and do his revision kit and spam him w questions you dont know. I only focus on his revision kit (a book of questions and answers). His notes I didnt touch, so since you took before P6 and have the knowledge, dont bother going normal classes. Get the revision kit and practice.

No, he dont provide any notes. Only go through questions, he dont even revise content.

according to my fren who took his lessons. he showed favouritism. he particular dont like my fren, and refuse to answer my fren's qns when my fren asked him, and turned to answer other student question when they asked.
in the class he will scold students hopeless and other ugly words. he want people to answer his qn during class, when my fren answer, he scolds. but when student dont answer, he also scold.

he badmouthed other lecturers too, so unprofessional.

eventually when my fren become prizewinner for that subject in that semester, then he acknowledged my fren by talking nicely to my fren, totally different attitude compare to answer qn lor. realistic and double face.

im feeling angry for my fren. although G*W is knowledgeable, he is also very arrogant.

my fren is proactive learner and hardworking. but he likes to put my fren off and demotivate student. my fren does says he's knowledge is good, character sux.

Then i better give this lecturer a miss. No point paying for his class and end up not getting any help from him. Furthermore still let him scold and put me down. I can't imagine feeling demotivated and sit for exams.

Hi fellow ACCA students,

I am taking P2 with Tom Clendon at FTMS this semester. I have attended 6 lessons and in my "true and fair view", he is really good (I am comparing against other popular ACCA lecturers in Singapore).

Base on the first 6 lectures, I find Tom's calculation templates (proforma) are systematic and foolproof if you put in enough practice. He balances well, the time spent on the number crunching, theory, conceptual understanding and the exam techniques aspects of the subject. He cuts through the smoke, explaining complex accounting concepts in an easy to understand manner using analogies. He is also approachable if you need to clarify issues after class.

Other lecturers which I attended and recommend:
F8 CK Fung (FTMS) is so so; A/P Chee (LSBF) is better
F3 Ivan Lim (FTMS)
F6 Yvonne Goh (LSBF)
