Try other schools or take their online class. Will be taking f9 in March. However lsbf not providing face to face revision for March/Sept anymore.. Please recommend where can I go for revision class?
F4 is an isolated paper which is different from the rest, not advisable to self study. It’s better attend a class to clear any doubts.I am a self-studying student for F4 (SGP). The following question in 2015 Dec examiner's report confuses me:
Question 9
Which of the following statements about a term of a contract is correct?
A) A breach of a term does not allow the innocent party to rescind the contract
B) A term is any statement made in the course of negotiations of a contract
C) A breach of either a term or a representation will give the innocent party the right to terminate the contract
The correct answer is A)
The examiner's report explains that:
Many candidates did not choose the correct option, A, for this question which tested them on the law concerning terms of contract. They appear to be unclear about 1) the differences between a term and a representation ; 2)
the effects of breach of contract (where termination of contract is a possible remedy) and misrepresentation (where recission of contract is a possible remedy).
My questions:
i) what is the difference between "termination of contract" vs. "recission of contract"? As far I can tell, they are similar?! (*mind blown*)
ii) I know B) is wrong because not all statements are terms, they can also be merely puff or representation
iii) however, i am really confused about both option A) and C). Would anyone be able to explain to me why they are right and wrong respectively?

I could be wrong.. i believe rescision means bringing the contract to its original position. Termination means the end of obligation for both parties.
A. Correct because it allows inn party to terminate and not necessarily rescind
C. Only a breach of term allows.

Any suggestions on whether changing to F4 (Global) will be more self-study friendly?
I am thinking of using the SkillsFutures credit to take some courses in accounting. I have an engineering degree with zero accounting knowledge. Due to the nature of my work, it helps to gain some financial knowledge to understand the transactions entered into financial information systems. I suppose ACCA might be an overkill. What about LCCI or those financial accounting for non-financial professionals courses?
hello, are there any updates on CBEs for F5-F9 papers? like the venue and/or earliest month they're offering the CBEs? thanks in advance!
Use black ball-point pen. What kind of black pen do you all usually use for the examination ? Pilot G2 gel pen ok to use ?
ACCA F1 to F3 is good enough for you.I am thinking of using the SkillsFutures credit to take some courses in accounting. I have an engineering degree with zero accounting knowledge.
