f9 shld be ok right? srsly if f9 got problem dun try p4..
i got slaughtered in there man.

i rem one part they give u market dividend yield x% and GDP growth x%. ask u to estimate market return..

tt's a bummer.. took me a while to get it

F9 is actually not tough. I never practise and just went for the example so got some of the working format wrong the and final result would be wrong. Hai.......

Took my first examinations and I was suprised by the huge number of aspiring accountants.

I am humbled by the papers. Respect to those who have cleared so many papers. It looks like a good amount of effort, discipline and sacrifice have to be put in.

Still considering if I should renew my membership for next year. :p

Saw this ACA qualification at ICPAS website:
http://www.icpas.org.sg/acasingapore/qualification.asp
Quite expensive.

Anybody knows how does March intake works? What happens to those classes you missed in Jan/Feb?

I would like to contribute some of my experience to those still taking ACCA...

Throughout my ACCA student life (Still a student as of now), I never failed any of the calculation paper..

but AFM P4 really got me twice... can't seems to clear it..

I pass F9 at 58 without much studying..

I tried twice at P4 but still can't get thru..

Good luck for those considering P4 :s7:

F9 well... Either pass v spectacularly with all the creative things I've done
Or fail quite spectacularly due to the same reason too

Examiner gave a spot rate of 1.300 £/USD...
When did usd higher than £ one

Very nervous over the correct way of solving

anyone took f7 today? the paper was pretty tough for me.

perhaps one or two adjustments from Q2, esp the convertible loan notes interest one, and the stupid sales adjustment. For Q3 I was so shocked that some random statement of movement came out instead of the usual cash flow. Hopefully I can pass. Sigh.

Anyone knows how f7 marking scheme is like? do they penalize you if you have error b/f or they reward marks based on individual accounts workings? I didn't balance my bal sheet haha.

Don't try to balance the Balance Sheet, even if it is balance, it may be wrong also. If you refer to the answer sheet given in ACCA website, u will see the marking scheme.

A lot of people pass without balancing the balance Sheet, so don't worry. For question 3, its either cashflow or financial ratio. In fact, during my exam, I am lucky that financial ratio question came out because till now I still don't how to do a cashflow statement..

For CFA, you only need to produce your ACCA complete cert before you go for CFA Level 2. I am also thinking of going for that after ACCA.. hehe
The course fee now after subsidied is not expensive ..only 630... but the enrolment fee and exam fees cost about sgd 1500.
I think I better do it after I complete ACCA because the ACCA professional paper is not easy.

I passed my F2 at CBE instead. But I am having problem with F7 .. prolly CMI for this time round. Sammi's method is good... just that I didn't absorb well enough.

i ask counter le.. unless you got 4 years w/exp or another degree... you can only apply if you can produce obeu when applying for cfa exams for that year
thanks anyway
in case you taking up got a lot of hidden cost, like that you only get the subsidy only 8 months after you registered..

f7 convertible debts everywhere.. adjustments were horrible

Any recommendation on which lecturer is better for F4?

After reading all the comments from this thread, I've decided to take F6 (Yvonne), F7 (Saminathan) and F8(Saminathan) too. Anyone has any comments for me?

I would certainly prefer to take all lessons at Kaplan, but will also be open to lecturers from SAA/other schools.

Thanks
