Please note that some of the classes are full.
if you attend the class without playing and end up the student who paid no seats.
it is very unfair to the student who paid.

If you are caught, action will be taken against you by acca. You are taking the risk of forever disqualified.
inorder to save $600, u risk the chance of ever able to take acca. lol.
sch report you the the professional bodies and your company leh.

they will have spot checks one. Attend wrong class. also photocopied wrong notes? acca student so blur one ah.

also at kaplan if follow student inform the sch. they can get a course voucher of $50.

anyone who attended the Sami P2 rev class will know what happen. Each door was blocked, you have to give ur course card before entering and leaving the class. Sami also sometimes can recognise who shld be in which class.

personally saw a few cases. well dressed OL attended day 1, day 2, class blocked. They still dare to stand outside and see got chance to go in.

In SAA, class got 20 student. hahha that day got 22.
another one more funny, class only got 1 male student. end up that day got 2 more. The 2 extra one was asked to leave.

Between P4 Advanced Financial Management and P5 Advanced Performance Management, which one would you choose or which is easier? Haha

Kinda having a dilemma now ever since I took the killer F9 Financial management paper last Thursday. Got to think twice about taking advanced fm.

I signed up for P5 and P7 this time round for my option.

IMO, P4 is insane. I seen before the question when I attend James' class.. Calculation hard, theory also not simple. How to pass haha..

P5, I heard of instance whereby people self study and pass :s31:

P6 is tough. Imagine theory on Tax.. Calculation is all I can take.

is it possible to transfer 'class' to friend? means you have registered for the class but you dont wanna attend and you sell the class to your friend.

do we need to inform/go through the sch?

if mean sign up but ur friend attend? not allowing.

But if take few class, result out, for saa can redraw from the class take $20 voucher (better than nothing). than your friend chop the emtry out class slot.

kaplan i think not possible.

not worth all these cos. much money wasted, so end up most of the time student remain in class, finish up the copying of notes than take it next term.

Woow.... thanks for the info. I wouldn't want ot risk that. Haha, some of my old Uni habits die hard, but i guess its very different when you're trying to be a free-loader.

i understand money hard-earned.

sometimes also not cos. some student want to free-load. cos. once u go to core papers, you have to register early cos. result day itself or before the class from jan/july may already full class. sami rev class also, if late register, get the broadc class, if later, no chance.

for small classes, every lesson you see the few people, suddenly got one fresh face, lecturer student also will wonder one.

for acca if want to save $, is to make use of early bird discount, try to sign up early and more papers like 2 normal class plus 1 rev class etc. also avoid later the rev class full.

ps: also same paper diff lecuturer, a bit speed diff or start diff FRS etc, diff lecuturer diff working methods.
you move around classes, hahahha end of the day, you will ????? at the copied notes.

ok a little $ saving trick done by china students which i overheard during class.

student A only wan to study 2 modules so signed up F4,F5 den student B wanna study F6,F7 so in the end, student A signed up all 4 modules in her name to get the max discount but she will attend F4, F5 only. student B will attend F6,F7.

i thou it is a very smart way to get pass the system. so if u dare, u can try haha u still pay for course just that not under ur name. got more discount who don't wan?

but obviously these ppl have failed their ethics and confirm cannot pass P1 in future lol

long ago did think that is a method. some people use it esp full time foreign student.
but a course not under your name, even not caught also damn ma fan.
previously is 4 papers discount a lot. now 2 paper discount discount also quite okie. to save the trouble, the risk and to sit in the class with an unease feeling. dun have to keep a look out for spot check.
take 15% discount for 2 paper better than risk to take 4 papers at 20%.

Hi, I have a question here and hope you people who goes through the stage can guide me on it.

Well, I took my last 2 Fundamental levels paper this sitting, which is paper F8 and F9 during December 08.
However, the results would only comes out on February 09.

I am unsure whether a not to sign up Professional levels paper for coming January 09.
Just wanted to ask you people.. If lets say i did not manage to pass any of my F8 and F9, can i still proceed to take my P1? Or izzit i have to clear my F8 and F9 first before i can take P1?

Hope someone can answer my question. Thanks... :s13:

can still proceed, you are allowed to take max of 4 papers in exam.
in accaglobal, got the exam paper option for you to click, can click one all can take.
like option 1: F8, option 2:F9 option 3:F8 & F9 option 4: F8 & F9 & P1. option 5: F8 & F9 & P1 & P2.

Understand as ACCA students we need to pay both ACCA(UK) and ICPAS membership fees every year. (66 GBP and $90 for 2009).

So after we pass all the exams and gain affiliate status, what are the yearly fees payable to ACCA and ICPAS?

1. would it be hard to do lvl3 without doing lvl2?

2. isit hard to advance in career without a degree?

and may i know if any of u guys when straight for acca after their dip(pure acca holders) or after having a degree?

thanks in advances!

I havent do ACCA level 3 yet but level 2 is the fundamental for the level 3 if you cant master it well in level 2, you will meet problems when going level 3. as in there are so limited time available, there are no time for you to learn the basic again....

for your second question, it is rather vague... when you mean advance in career, how high do you want to climb? I see no problem being an audit senior, senior accountant, etc... with just an ACCA... you can do a search on job portal... if you are keen on a FD role... i think a MBA or degree would be useful.

majority of the ACCA students i known of in class are polytechnic diploma holders.

icic cos i scared do DL degree first than jump right into lvl3, might not prepare me for lvl3. so it'll be advisable to do lvl2 inorder to cope with lvl3?

btw whats a FD role?

good to hear majority are poly student. :D
