ACCA Students.

hello all,

I've been hearing both SAA and Kaplan. Can I have any advice which is a better school to take up ACCA course at?

Actually, for ACCA courses, you may take one module at SAA and another at Kaplan whichever you preferred.

Personally, I was with SAA from my F4 onwards and I feel that they have a fair share of good teachers. However, it all lies with the student. The lecturer maybe good but the students may keep failing and failing.

from banking and finance take CFA la. The exemption for u only 4 modules so you have to finish the other 10. min is 2 1/2 years.

Hi, as mentioned above. If i want to cancel a paper that i had already registered for June 10 papers,
1) when is the lastest date to cancel?
2) will they be full refund to me if i cancel it just before the test date?

i dun think ACCA do refund for cancellation. check out MyACCA portal to see if u can cancel or defer lor

Last date to join is 15th April. You can email ACCA UK and ACCA Singapore for assistance. You can also call ICPAS exam office for assistance.

Can i attend ACCA class without taking exam or reg as ACCA student?

you can attend ACCA class without registering for exam, but you need to be an ACCA member to sign up for your class..

Hi, congrats! Have you started working in this position?

For this position, you need to remember all the consolidation technique that we learned in P2?

Actually most of us forget the consolidation the moment we step out of the exam hall. (Actually i am talking about myself.. Haha)

Care to share? Just to open our mind to various position our qualification can lead us to. Thanks!

yup this job must have in-depth knowledge with FRS and consol techniques. starting the job next mth as im serving my resignation notice now~

i cant recall my consol knowledge now too~ the finance director told me to go back refresh memory before start date. when he interviewed me, he asked me what is the double entry for consolidating parent account with subsid? assuming no goodwill... i cant even answer dr sales cr cos hahaa

as for your career options, i have tried to apply for stat-board with ACCA before and i got an offer. however i rejected it as the career progression is slower

If I were you, I also join the MNC without thinking twice.
btw, why the MNC recruit ppl without experience and as group accountant,I thought need exp first.. any tips to go there hongge? thx.
