I dun thk u are allowed to take both in the same sitting. Acca has this rule that u cannot take a higher level paper together with its prerequisite. Why are u asking icpas? U shd be asking acca.

Besides, no offence, i doubt anyone can pass f7 if they hv never done acctng before. Unless u only take this 2 papers and practice dilligently for 3-4 hours a day every single day for 6 months. Not to mention tat u wun understand a thing even if u go to class for f7.

thanks for you concern, according to the icpas office and i also checked my own myACCA account, i have been opted into the OBU scheme even though i have not passed F4 as proof of english proficiency. I enrolled with acca/icpas joint examination scheme with my diploma from np. Therefore my status allow me to take the papers in any order.

I somehow remember it is allowed from some student guide (though I never encountered before). For example a student fails his F3, but new semester he takes F7, so he should be able to take both papers together in the same examination.

Anyway another question on different level, e.g. I'm taking P1 paper, but if I fail a Fundamental paper say F9. In the coming exam, can I only take P1? Or can/must I take both papers together in the same exam?

Theres no harm writing to ACCA to clarify. I remember for last semester, I wanted to take 3 optional papers, hoping to pass 2 of them inorder to graduate. Didnt did I know that after the exam registration is opened, the system only allows two options papers.

Then I wrote to ACCA to enquire and realise, that even after I appeal to them. They only allow 2 options paper.

Therefore, the best person is ask is always ACCA. They do reply but their reply is not instant.

The system has changed? I enrolled under the same scheme and wasnt offered this option. Is it only allowed below the professional level? I wasnt allowed to take f6 and p6 together. And i was opted into obu despite choosing to opt out as i did not give up my exemption for f9. Admin screw up probably.

People usually read text book if they don't understand something, or else lecturer notes are enough, and I think all lecturers uses their own notes in class.
