Hi guys,

Got a question on FRS 17.
Lease should be recognised at lower of PV of MLP or FV.
In the event that FV is lower, do we need to recognise a gain or loss as compared to PV of MLP?

OR,

just ignore and do the following.
Dr PPE FV
Cr Lease obligation FV

Finance leases yes, rec at the lower of pvmlp/ fv and depreciate as ppe.

no need to rec any gain/loss.

Dec exam enrollment deadline is at mid of oct.

Before that, you have to become a student member with ACCA. You can do that either at SAA or Kaplan.

For enrollment to the classes offered by either institute, you have to go to the respective institute. :D

hi, the earliest intake for uol grad is Jan 2012.. as the results will only be out during end aug/early sept

if u register and plan to take F4, F6 for coming dec, your exemptions will all be forfeited

as such, in order to gain exemptions, Jan 2012 is the earliest intake and hence, June 2012 is the first exam for u

Hi,

Anyone taking P2 at SAA with Mr Goh SW in the evening class?

Can I confirm if the last lecture was on Translation?

Also, can confirm if the next lecture is on this Friday 22nd April 645pm? Thinking of joining the evening class as not feeling well and might skip Monday day class. :o

Manage to find out the schedule. Dun think can make it. Anyone can get the that session audio clip and written stuf? $5 for it.

Hi what if i enroll for the december 2011 exam, with no exemptions (since i dont have my results or cert. yet to claim exemptions) but later on after i got it, only then i will ask for exemptions.

Is it possible?Any idea?

So lets say i forfeit my exemptions for now and take f1-f3 but the next term i ask for exemptions for maybe few others fundamental units

Anyone have any idea?

nope, its not possible

if u started off with no exemptions, then it will be on a no exemption basis enrollment

if u want to go for exemptions, then got to wait for results to be out and attached your transcripts with the enrollment forms

Hi,

the course fees remains unchanged for both 2 yrs, 2.5 yrs, 3 yrs or more... Unless you are talking about exemptions for F1 F2 F3. Else, the shorter time you use to complete the full course, the more you have to pay per term cause you are taking more papers. You can take 1 paper per term which takes you about 4 yrs or more to complete 1 ACCA cert.

Course fees are all stated under Kaplan's Financial website..

Hope this helps.
