Got a weird question.. is pilot G2 pen considered black ballpoint pen? cause it is labelled gel ink.

Anybody use this pen for onscreen marking and still ok?

Kaplan has better facilities than SAA. I think SAA has longer hour per lecturer class. Kaplan and SAA have fair share of good lecturers from certain subjects. Not sure how much difference in terms of teaching materials. For Jan intake, SAA gives out BPP texts, which is big plus. But in July intake, SAA informed existing SAA students via email that they switch from BPP to GTG.

I am taking F5 at SAA for July Intake (Dec paper) on part-time basis. I already register with Ian Lim for F5 class. Ian Lim is personally recommended by James Kwan, who used to teach F5 and is now teaching F7 and F9, himself via email to me. In addition, I observe that other people in other local forums think well of Ian Lim.

Not sure if you can take this class up. If you could, I will be very happy to have you as a classmate.

Thank You very much for the detail explanation. :)

elaine also spotted them. infact she specifically highlighted the balanced scorecard and fizgerald model. and if u have enough time, u can actually try to work backwards to get the answer for Q5, even if u never know the formule. i do the Q5a 3 times (and spend 1 hr for that Question) to comfirm that accuracy of my answer. Question 2 if u have some maths back ground will it wil be easy. Question 1 is sort of give away, and Q3, a short flexed budget for 12 marks....

seriously i think the questions are easy, but the format is very different from the past (people expect to calculate variance but no variance calculation is tested) people dont expect question like Question 4 with around maybe 15 marks to be theory, and Question 2 to be mathematically demanding. new style, i dont think it is anywhere hard. but i guess those that study pass year paper format and memorise answer do suffer a bit

The f5 paper is available in acca website now!
I have just revealed the qns 1 more time, and was really annoyed when q5 was actually so easy! In fact this june f5 paper's difficulty level is similar to the jun 10 paper(the one with 57% pass rate), just that she played some mind games with us lol...not to spot or memorise any pass year answers
Should be able to score well for Q2,3,4... Q1 made a bit of mistakes and a stunt at Q5
If no more big stunts i will hope for at least a mark higher than my f7 in december,
how about you?:s13:

F7 is tough, qns 2 last adjustment i totally give up doing... cant even balance for both qns 2 and 3... die dunnoe can even pass this is my second attempt taking this paper =(
that last adjustment should be substance over form. I am not sure whether my answer of the adjustment is acceptable. Gee. I also cannot balance Q2 and Q3. Nearly impossible to balance at first try for anyone imho.

Hi all,

Any recommendations for lecturers for the options papers? (Assuming none have been chosen yet) Was taking lessons at SAA, so will need to get feedback from students from other schools.

P4: Chow Kim Tai (SAA) / Andrew Pang (Kaplan) / Sami (LSBF)
P5: Ian Lim (SAA) / Elaine Tan (Kaplan) / Sami (LSBF)
P6: Goh Sher Wee (SAA) / Tommy Yee (Kaplan)
P7: Chee Hay Keong (SAA) / Connie Richardson (Kaplan) / Paul Owen Merison (LSBF)

From what I've heard, Saminathan's usually the number one choice when it comes to his modules, but since LSBF is a relatively new entrant, I am not too sure about their administrative fluidity and availability of revision lessons, amongst other concerns.

So yeah, hoping to get some opinions from all of ya.

As for the choice of papers, that will be left to another day's worrying.
