Really?? P5? ok that sounds interesting. I tot Roy would be teaching P5 instead once he finished serving his notice.

if i am not wrong, i think roy will be teaching aug intake (after results release). should be new classes i guess.

Can P1 be self study? Is it more of a memorizing or calculation paper?

Which publisher do you recommend? Does studying the study text and exam kit sufficient? Or going for lessons are better?

For the calculations/formulas part, is it understandable to self study? Thanks alot:)

P1 is a pure theory paper. I don't really think self study is such a good idea. There is less exam focus when you do our own self study since there is no one to guide you and you are inclined to study everything in detail. Not that studying in detail is not good, but I felt it is not practical. Especially so if you are thinking of doing more than one paper.

it's not exam-based. just that completion of the professional ethics module is one of the criteria to get the acca membership. you can just go myacca and complete the module online, and at your own pace.

New Examination Dates for ACCA Dec 2011 Sittings:

Mon 5 Dec: F5 Performance Management, P7 Advanced Audit and Assurance

Tue 6 Dec: F6 Taxation, P4 Advanced Financial Management

Wed 7 Dec: F7 Financial Reporting

Thu 8 Dec: F8 Audit and Assurance, P5 Advanced Performance Management

Fri 9 Dec: F1 Accountant in Business, F9 Financial Management, P6 Advanced Taxation

Mon 12 Dec : F4 Corporate and Business Law, P3 Business Analysis

Tue 13 Dec: F3 Financial Accounting, P2 Corporate Reporting

Wed 14 Dec: F2 Management Accounting, P1 Governance, Risks and Ethics

Source: OpenTuition quoting from ACCA. But accaglobal haven officially updated their exam timetable for dec 2011.

Disclaimer: source not accurate don't flame me :)

What's the effect to this change? F5 and P1 no longer clash, F7 and P2 no longer clash. This means people can take F7 and P2 concurrently i guess. eg. Sukkieman. Good news for you right?

Hi, I have an enquiry. I just completed my F4, F6, P1 and P2 papers in June. If I fail my F4, can I register for P6 and P7 papers since I haven't attempted my P3 exam(P3 and F4 exam clash) & P6, P7 require to attempt P3 first.
