Best lecturer there is. No need to reconsider.

He is very exam focused and straight to the point, the kind of lecturer anyone studying part time needs. Whether you take P1, F8 or P7, his style is the same. He will go through exam questions 50 percent of the time.

His revision class is actually most important. You should ask instead whether you should take normal class after signing up for revision class.

My advice is

P1 - just revision will do
F8, P7 - revision + normal class. Skip normal class only if you have audit experience.

Hi, is it recommended to enrol for Acca if you do not any accounting background?
My cousin who just finished ns has no intention of continuing his IT studies and have second thoughts of crossing over to Accounting field.

I understand that there are several institute and universities which offer this certification. Which university is recommended, how long is the duration and the rough course fee.

Appreciate if anyone who can help me and share his/her experience. Thanks all.

He can study acca. Anyone can do so as long as u have the determination and perseverance :) i presume he would not be getting any exemptions so when he starts from F1, he would have a firm foundation to build up his accounting knowledge and prepare him for the professional papers.

He can also look into entering IT Audit and Forensic Audit given his IT skills and knowledge. Not a bad decision to take up accounting given the combination of IT with accounting :) good luck to him!

Need urgent help please

Hi everyone, especially Acca students

I have a question that i need help and not able to google and find

If there is Mendelow matrix for stakeholder theory, is there a theory in the view of investors? eg. i am doing an assignment on financial reporting of 4 retail companies in UK. I am able to find the ratios and numbers that investors usually look for in the financial report. But is there a theory that we can use in our investor analysis?

thanks!

Hi all,

I'm planning to take the ACCA but is unsure of the difference between the private institutes.

LSBF vs Kaplan vs SAA-GE

Which is the better school? I'm starting from F1 as I only have a private diploma.

Thank you in advance.

How is ACCA compared to a private accounting degree in terms of employability especially in the Big 4s and banking?

Thanks.

Hi ACCA peers here,

I am new in ACCA and just bought the books for F1 and self studying it since I am in NS. I would like to ask that after I get out of NS, is it better to take more than 1 paper concurrently or should I take 1 paper at a time? I am planning to go for part time lessons while working after I ORD.

1 by 1 will take too long.. unless you intend to take 1 paper every 3 months.
recommended 2-3.
if you can handle and have excellent time management, go for 4.

Hi I actually plans to take take 1 every 3 months. I actually don't think I will be able to manage 2-3 papers at a go because I will be working full time when i am taking the papers but I will also need to find out how does night classes works and how many sessions and how long will all the sessions be conducted over. Any advice on night classes information?
