Suggest stay at namba area because those places you suggested do not need a JR Line

Can try Grande Vista. 10 mins from JR station. Around 5 mins or less to subway.

i stayed in Hotel Kinki before. cheap and good. location is great coz it is near Osaka/Umeda station, which is well connected to places within Osaka, as well as outside Osaka such as Kyoto, Nara and Kobe. there are many eateries near the hotel and a convenient store just beside it.

for cheaper accommodation, u can try those in the Shinimamiya area, such as the hotel chain, Chuo group. however, i personally dun like that area coz there are many drunks and homeless ppl in that area at night. and there isnt many malls in that area

I stayed at Hotel Kinki. No complaints about the hotel but the girls lining both sides of the walkway leading to the hotel each night did make me uneasy :s13:
