Deciding between the three : Ibis, Sunroute Plaza and Citadines.

Anyone stayed in the three before and has reviews and recommendations?

Other options welcome too!

Stayed in best western shinjuku astina and keio plaza during previous trips. Both are decent, keio being the more ex option.

Airbnb! Stayed in one opposite mark city. 3 minutes to JR station. Downstairs was 7-11 already. Can sleep up to 3 though 2 must share 1 bed. Paid like $60/night per person.

This was it. https://www.airbnb.com.sg/rooms/979684

initially i booked sunroute for my feb '14 trip (in the end, stayed at shinagawa prince).

ibis like not worthwhile for the price, i remember more ex than sunroute. citadines like not very conveniently located, not that near the JR station.

hotel century southern tower

bubble lift gives superb view of the yamanote tracks etc

And it's just a bridge (about 100m long and very wide) away from takashimaya, connected to the doors to the hotel. also a nice walkway laced with plenty of cafes that links u direct to the new south exit of JR shinjuku. really enjoy walking this path - like an escapade from the very busy shinjuku and has plenty of greenery too.

It is also one of the bus stops for the airport limousine.

I would suggest staying near the station, for convenience.

Have tried Shinjuku Washington and Sunroute Plaza.

I prefer the latter.

Although Shinjuku Washington is connected to the station, it is a pretty long walk from the train platforms. Yes, the station is huge!

Sunroute Plaza is definitely better - just minutes walk from the station south exit and has bigger and newer rooms.

This december, I'll be trying Century Southern Tower. It is also minutes walk from the south exit. The hotel as I understand is the newest addition in the vicinity. Online reviews are not bad.

Washington isn't near at all. Sunroute and Century Southern tower is a street apart. so both Sunroute and Century Southern is a best choice.

I'll be staying at Southern Tower for my upcoming november holiday... Panoramic King Room... hope to get a good view from my room...

One bad thing is there are no porter or room service...

I have stayed both in Sunroute Plaza and Ibis before. If money was not an issue, I would stay in Sunroute. Sunroute is usually more expensive than Ibis. Although I have also told people here before than my friend has been burgled before while he was staying in Sunroute. But I think he was probably careless and did not close the door properly.

You have to walk a bit further to get to restaurants from Sunroute though. Ibis is surrounded by eateries.

Century Southern is quite expensive compared to the rest. Likely to go with sunroute due to the proximity to the Shinjuku main stn.

Citadines has bigger room, but is a 15 min walk.

Second Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku. Will be staying there for the second time this coming Dec. Good location with 711, Mac, Yoshinoya and Takashimaya nearby. My main reason is there is airport limousine bus there.
