Want to get a basic 2 in 1 laptop that can
1. Surfing internet
2. Online meeting/learning via zoom/skype
3. Basic ms word/PowerPoint
4. Write on the screen
5. Ability to write on screen for online teaching via zoom/skype

Does Acer Spin 1 meets the needs above?
Please advise.

You should share your budget.

While Acer Spin 1 is not that expensive and seems to work for your use case, it is not cheap for its very low end specs. Its got a touchscreen, but I don't think it is a good one. Perhaps you can consider getting an iPad of Android tablet depending on your budget.

Review 3's model is closest to what you can get in Singapore...

My take:
1. Pretty good value. It has a full HD IPS screen, stylus, and metal build.
2. 4GB RAM is a bit iffy. 8GB would be better. I don't think you can add on aftermaket. Probably only 1 RAM slot. The original 4GB RAM piece is soldered onto the motherboard.
3. Not the most accomplished but on a budget, this is probably the best you can get for a touchscreen that takes a stylus and does it properly. Good enough for doing homework on it.

EDIT: A laptop is always more versatile than a tablet, whether Android or iOS. Also wait for discounts - National Day would see some discounts. A 20% discount would make this a real bargain. And you might get MS Office 2019 thrown in for Education purchases during promotions. Also check Shopee.
