ACS48 is better but can you even find one that works today

Given the age of such speakers, I rather you get Logitech Z313 around $30 - $50.
Not sure whether Harvey Norman still have this selling for $39 you can check.
Older speaker issue is the electronics inside may have wear out especially if it is more than 10 years old.
