The simple fact that they are not genuine visitors but actually coming here to work without approval, that alone has breached immigration laws. You can throw every one of those jhk justifications out the window, basically you can't do that in almost any country.

Nah
All is nah

The real reason is the Malaysians will kill off all Singapore competition and even greatly affect Singapore grab and taxi market if allowed to grow unabated

So obvious
Their vehicles are cheaper , petrol is cheaper , driver can accept lesser pay for quite some time

Honesty, I don't have an issue with this. It is a good service. From home to destination, in a charted vehicles and go through custom. $80 is very good price.

Trying hard to make it a big deal so that the residents will be distracted over the chicken wings that they are taking back.

It's unregulated and the driver can easily kidnap you if he wants to. The police can't trace him or his company

Plus no permit or work permit to provide tis service in sg. Even their own gov cracked down on them in Malaysia.
Think they don't have proper insurance coverage also. Alot on personal insurance, not commercial. So if accident during course of ferry customer, think insurance will probably deny pay also. Add together, they are sort of a danger to everyone. Those that use their service, if get into accident become injured or mati, can only count themselves suay, there is not much recourse for them. And when these drivers get into trouble, they can always run road dissappear into MY, hard to find and them also.

Actually grab can take the lead and negotiate with both sides of the govt to start this. Just pwn all these alibaba drivers and sublet companies out there. In the end of the day, everyone wants to make money.

Tax.

They are working across 2 countries. So the GST VAT charge to which country? Income tax how to count?

And with Malaysia cars coming in, how are we to stop them from taking sg-sg trips? Them with their petrol and cheap cars will undercut Singapore drivers by so much.a

Imagine this — your Malaysian friend comes over to your house, saying he needs your Wi-Fi to finish his schoolwork because the internet in Singapore is faster. Out of goodwill, you let him use it, even though you actually need that bandwidth for your own online business.

But later you found out… he wasn’t doing schoolwork at all. He secretly used your Wi-Fi for illegal online betting and even running OnlyFans livestreams to earn money. When he made his profits in SG currency bcos he is using your Singapore network, he just packed up and left — not even a thank you, not even a token of appreciation.

Are you ok with it?

These JHKs with their cowboy mentality sure tarnish Sg’s carefully maintained image especially for first time tourists visiting our paradise island..
Maybe can let those with min deg holder PHV drivers from Msia to drive in..😅
