How can admin assistant compare to analyst

I was paid $1500 as an admin officer back in 2008, and $1200 as an office boy in 2009, thought analyst is paid couple of folds higher?

title not important, it's the pay and jobscope

if you're still doing manual work which a gen z diploma holder can easily automate, then bye bye

If you are referring to "Analyst" as the corporate title, this convention is only used in certain industries.

Can be confusing for people not in these industries.

"Analyst" would be the equivalent of "Officer" in the old days. Entry level for degree (and diploma) holders.

"Admin Assistant" is considered an entry level job role for non degree holders and it's not a corporate title. Other entry level categories are receptionist, technician etc.

They corporate title would be the equivalent of "clerk".

In some companies, esp those that hire contract staff for these positions, they do not even get a corporate title.
