Adobe flash plugin crashes when loading forum pages

Hi,

I am encountering this issue but I am not sure if it is just me or others might be affected as well.

I surf on mobile browser and desktop (firefox). When on mobile, sometimes some of my forum pages freezes with no apparent reasons, and I will need to force close the browser and retry loading forum pages to continue.

When on desktop, sometimes some of my forum pages freezes with no apparent reasons, and I get a pop up message to say that "The adobe flash plugin has crashed." Then I will need to "stop plug in" and reload page.

I am usually able to continue surfing after simple troubleshooting everytime the issue appear, but it is getting irritating that this can happen a few times a day. Wonder if there is a permanent solution to this?

i have noticed this recently as well. the problem seems to be because of the video ad at the bottom of the page causing a memory leak. i have seen the memory usage of both IE and chrome increase up to over 1gb, while having only a hwz page open and not doing anything at all. the memory usage drops back to normal once i close the hwz page.

i have the latest flash player installed.

On mobile I think maybe Adobe is outdated, but on desktop my Adobe flash plug in is up to date.

We are in the midst of isolating the problem and it appears that this recurs only on the Chrome browser. Can you verify if this is so on your end?

But I doubt it is URL based. I have load this page multiple times and this plugin crashing issue may not happen all the time.

There are external web advertisements running on adobe flash that causes the pages to crash. Because these advertising banners are randomly displayed, it will take us some time to isolate the actual cause.

Can we trouble you to take a screenshot of any ad banners the next time you load a page on our site?

Using Firefox on Mac. No issue. Perhaps its because I use Adblock and those pesky ads are blocked.

Adobe Flash plugin crashes seem to be across the board and seemingly random, so it may not necessarily be only from the HWZ forum pages. I encountered it occasionally when viewing other websites too.

I notice that it happens more often if I suddenly open up a lot of webpages, especially those that utilise Adobe Flash.

If nobody minds my input...

Here are my system specs:
Desktop - i3 540, AMD 5770, 8GB RAM
Laptop - i5-3210m, Intel HD4000

I use my laptop (with Firefox) most of the time.

The flash plugin crashes on a daily basis for me, so if there is a facebook video I'd want to see, I'll then activate it just for the duration of the video. Not even a single flash update has managed to resolve the constant crashes.

If I disable flash, the video quality options are reduced to only 360p and 720p (if HD is available).

Chrome on my laptop works without a hitch. Desktop, no problem. Go figure.

TL;DR:
I'm 99.999999% sure it's flash.
