[Adv Please] Capturing In-Vehicle Unit Data

Hi all

Not sure where to place this thread, hence put it here and maybe mods/seniors here can advise.

My company is looking to develop this system similar to those erp gantry for carparks. Only thing is, we just need to capture the data from IU when cars pass by a particular spot and collate the data for future analysis. There is no gantry involved at all.

Can someone here advise me on which section of this forum is appropriate? Or better still, send me referrals via pm?

I don't know what you're talking about. This is the only thread that I posted this question in. I'm not the boss of the company, if it's important to you.

Not sure you know what you are asking. wwenze has provided you with the answer.

All you need is to call them and they will be able to advise you and refer you to the approved vendor.

Or are you waiting for LTA to come here and read your thread and give you the answer

Yeah, it's still more of a job/service ad than a question about PC hardware.

E.g. People looking to get a website done won't post in HWC either.

Seriously, call LTA at 1800 CALL LTA (1800 225 5582).

LTA has the technical specifications of the IU design and how it works. Maybe those companies who implemented the gantry for LTA like ST Engineering or NCS may know. Nevertheless, you will still need LTA's approval.

Even if you figure out the technical details yourself, through reverse engineering or other methods and thus is able to do it technically, nobody should be allowed to install any device to tap into IU data without prior approval. Privacy concerns as well. This is illegal unless LTA says otherwise.
