Secondly, can give me some advice on which hotel more idea?
1) Horison Ultima Kings Hotel
2) Batam City Hotel
3) Mercure Hotel
4) Harmoni One Hotel
5) Nagoya Mansion Hotel

original people from batam..stay here about 11 year...
for your information..the new hotel is nagoya mansion location is the center of the city. ..also mercure hotel but nagoya mansion is the new hotel running...nearest from the harbour bay ferry terminal and big shopping mall nagoya hill...for harmoni one and batam center is n the batam center..nearest from mega mall anf international ferry terminal..
for transportation..I has the car can carry until 6 people..

i have went Batam a couple of times through groupon/deal.sg
have not face any particular issues before, they will usually tag along with some 1/2 day or full day tour - u can opt out if u want but u will need to find yr own transport to hotel

hotel wise..i cant really rem which of yr listed hotels i have stayed in...personally i prefer to stay near batam city square
it is easier to find food there..there's a A2 food center which has quite a good variety of food (kinda like our hawker center)
I actually stayed in the BCC hotel on my last trip and I find it quite decent
