Is it better to buy internal components like CPU/ram/mobo/graphics card locally(but abit more expensive) or through websites like Amazon that gives free shipping and cheaper base price?

Thanks!

Depends what is your mindset.

Buy local, any issue distro can help you RMA when it's still within warranty. If lucky instantly 1-for-1 exchange. When you buy from trustworthy shop in SLS, usually they allow 1-for-1 exchange within 7 days if any issue were to arise.

Buy from Amazon is cheaper, but any issue you need to arrange RMA yourself and pay for the shipping yourself. But at least you can directly RMA and don't need to wait for the distro to compile and do bulk shipping.

Sent from PM me if you wanna build a DIY PC or wanna learn how to make one yourself :D using GAGT

One more thing about buying from Amazon.. if the item is worth more than 400 SGD you need to pay GST as well, so do factor that in when you are comparing to prices at local retailers.
