Advice/Discussion: i8/i8+ or wait?

Been using the same phone for three years and badly need an upgrade

use it mostly for travel/watersports/videos/snapchat/blogging/youtube/emails/long distance calls + facetime

thinking if i shd wait for the iX then sell it then get the 8+ or just get it now?

will it be a super long queue and long wait?

i can wait up to mid nov thats when i leave SG

help would be greatly appreciated xx

My take is this. My current plan expires this month and actually I could've taken the 8 Plus, but registered for the X so currently waiting for pre-order details.

Lets say during the pre-order date I'm unable to secure the X and knowing after that it'll be a long wait, I'll just go for 8 Plus.

My suggestion is wait for the X as it's less than a mth away, if unable to secure a set then just got for 8/8 Plus.

Wait for ipx, can't then just go for the 8+.

But you have to monitor the release and delivery date of the IPX. If it is beyond mid nov, then just go for the 8+.

If your concern is only on waiting time, then the 8/8+ will be a good choice. It is a very sound phone; it has been refined and fine tuned from a very good design.

The iPhone X is an entirely new phone with new experiences. Lack of Touch ID and lack of 3rd party optimization with Face ID in first few months must be considered. And I’m sure it will sell like hot cakes so don’t be surprised if the lead time after the launch day is pushed back all the way to Jan 2018.
