Advice for a 3 Monitors Trading System

Hi any experience Fx/Stocks trader here ? Currently i am using a dual monitors but think i need to have a 3 Monitors Screen for better setup.Presently my PC is a custom-made from PC shop about 1K 2years back.

Any good suggestions for a 3 Monitors setup (say i7) and need a good Video/graphic card, good PSU, and of cos Good Motherboard. What will be a typical Setup your recommendation and est cost nowadays? (I didnt monitor the price trends for many years liao p

Any shop in SLS should be able to help you.

For your case…

These days the motherboards are quite good. In fact just tell them you want mid end and pair with an i5 processor is more than enough.

8 GB of RAM is quite good too. Got more budget then 16GB.

Get an SSD and a HDD. SSD for OS and HDD for data.

Graphic card wise… AMD multi-screen support is still the best.

CPU unit with OS and office should set you off around 2K or lesser.

AMD cards are more friendly in multi-screen setup. (Cost wise)

That is all.

Both can do the same but if you want 3 screens... you will need to buy a super mid end from Nvidia series...

Where AMD I think some entry level can do the same...

Just that AMD drivers are pretty screwed up for gaming wise... other than that AMD cards are actually more value for $$

well..my current setup is 2 Monitors + CPU spec as follow: (Made at Funan Mall and cost around $1200?? about 2 or 3 years back already)

I am quite a noob about PC system...

My PC - NVIDIA GeForce GT 520
RAM: 4GB
OS - 32BIT
I5-3450 CPU @ 3.1 GHz
SSD think 180GB (Drive D is it?) WDC C Drive 283GB ?? dunno much sorry.
Motherboard - Asus P8H77-MLE
Win 7 PRO

So far this work for me but am thinking of a more Powerful setup i7 that can power 3 monitor at a higher level...budget about 2k can get what nowadays?

bro... I7 for video editing stuffs like those then will benefit from it. Gaming go for I5 cause no performance difference. For simple task like HTPC, Microsoft office I3 enough. from your setup all looks fine ma but from 2k budget can get a rather high end gaming rig IMO.

In trading i am running lots of JAVA because will be opening up lots of running quotes and prices and also real time chartings...(although specifically i not sure what they using)...so i want to minimise any lag if possible to the best...some people suggest to get a config towards high core gaming setup too le...because "fast action" neeeded...

actually your CPU should be running fine GPU dont think you need upgrade also... more of a RAM issue here. Try upgrade your ram see how first lo.

Not for saving cost. I dun like to save cost for my system haha. Custom made because got to run 2 or 3 monitors thus need seperate video cards and can have options like SSD add in and put in others stuffs..which i also dunno what to put also lor..haha..

You can now run up to four monitors off the same video card, if you are so inclined to make the purchase.

What that company builds is nothing spectacular. It's all in the marketing. They make it sound so awesome for trading and all that, but in the end, the parts that make up the system can be gotten in Sim Lim Square.

And seriously, custom make for 2 to 3 monitors? Multiple monitors are now so common that even most low end video cards can support up to 3 monitors.

i checked my office PCs here and they rarely go beyond 4Gb ram and Win7
and I am running mostly 2 screens setup here with
duo core CPUs (E3700) @ 3.066GHz

am running the usual gamut of trading stuff ...

Use back same processor and mobo. Change GPU (check if your PSU is sufficient), add ram to 8GB, windows 7 to 64bit.
