Hi guys,

was thinking of changing my graphic card since my current one is only a gt610, planning to change to a better one.

Any recommendations on graphic cards?

just some information:

mobo: Gigabyte G41M-Combo
ram: 4gb ddr3
Graphic card: gigabyte geforce GT610
power supply: ipower series PC7014 560w

budget around 200?
And also what is the difference between ddr 3 and ddr5
can my computer support ddr5?

thanks!!

Sure it can because the graphics card's memory doesn't sit on your mobo, does it? :s12:

A GTX 750 Ti isn't a bad idea.

DDR3 and DDR5 are essentially 2 different architecture.

DDR3 is suited for CPU I/O functions which require many small computation data to be processed while DDR5 is suited for handling large amount of data throughput in a graphics card.

They are suited for different functions so there isn't any superiority over the other. DDR3 is what you use on the mobo and DDR5 is used on gfx card.

Is there any particular reason that you wanna change gfx card?

Contrary to popular belief, even though is a 2012 game, is still pretty graphics intensive expecially if you have the high detail texture pack. You probably need a GTX760 to play it on high w/o AA. The last time I had SLI 760s i was averaging 70-80 FPS with everything max and AA on.

You may have to change PSU if you're going to get GTX760 considering the age of the PSU

IIRC G41M-Combo is a C2D mobo... so if you're looking to at least furure proof a bit you will have to change that as well.

$200 the best gpu you got only gtx750ti to play with.

A slightly more powerful card from red camp would be r9 270 2gb. This will be another tier up.

What processor are you using on your G41 motherboard?

And looks that you need a PSU upgrade too (this AcBel one is a lower grade one)...

Amazon.com: Zotac GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Dual DVI Mini-HDMI Graphics Card ZT-70601-10M: Computers & Accessories

hi guys, anybody got graphic card from amazon??
it seems cheaper, but would like to know if the warranty is international??

First thing, not really cheap. After conversion is $198SGD. You could get it at $208 in SG WITH Warranty.

On the other hand you buy from amazon, there is no local warranty over here. Distro will not accept it. The only way to RMA it will have to ship back to US.
