hi all.
im looking at which motherboard to get and not so sure about it.
is msi h97 pc mate a good choice?
it is at 281 dollars with the i3 4160 processor as i see from the pcthemes price list.
any other board to recommend? using for web gaming only. but power on around 15-17 hour a day so i scared the motherboard will overheat.

MSI H97 PC mate is one of the cheapest H97 board you can find locally so go ahead.
Motherboard produce very little heat, not a concern at all.

Mobo should only overheat if u play around with voltages and stress the VRM. Load line calibration is a major stressor, but thats only valid with a cpu overclock. Your mobo and cpu non overclockable so just any basic combination will do :)

Bought a H97 PC Mate for my sister.
Same as you, do light gaming, like Sims 3.

paired with an i3 and 560ti.

Very nice motherboard, quite stable, no crashes :)

Nowadays, all mobos build quality is about the same. It's not as though a $500 mobo will not have any chance of failure and a $100 mobo will fail with just a day's usage. It all depends on your luck.

Just spend on features which you need will do.
