Advice for new rig

Please advice if the current set up is good enough, or overkill. Planning to play games for a med-high settings only.

i5-4690
MSI H87M-G43
8GB (2x4GB)
1TB HDD
DVD-RW
Zotac GTX760 @ (TP $338) / or Zotac GTX770 AMP OC? (TP $498)
Sharkoon M1000 mATX
Seasonic M12ii-620W

Is this a acceptable rig? Thanks in advance

I'm looking at a m-atx form. But, care to explain why take a gaming mobo instead of the selected H87M-G43? Looking at the specs comparison in MSI site, I see no diff other than additional PCI slot and SATA2 compatible.

Another note, does dual channel really make a tangible difference? I was looking at getting 2xregular 4GB RAM than a dual channel 2x4GB ram.

Sorry if i asked too much! i'm trying to learn from the experienced users here.

Hmmm actually I'm suggesting b85 instead of h87 cause of the chipset. Difference between these 2 sets are the raid function in which h87 offers while b85 don't. So if you are not using raid then no need pay extra for it ma, get either b85m g43 or the gaming variance. And for gaming board and normal board diff is that b85m g43 is Matx while gaming version is atx. Also the gaming board features a slightly better onboard audio and killer Ethernet. However those are just marketing gimmicks, you can choose to fall for them or like me just like the design that's why I bought it.

And for your ram question, I think is the same iirc. Not really sure what you asking hahaha psps...

Hahaha ok next time put up a budget ma easier to calculate a build for you hahaha. Btw raid is smth like connect a few hdd or sad tgt to perform better or sort of make a back up. Linus have lot of info on it, but do note that there are certain risk in using raid setup

Raid 0 - increase efficiency of hdd, but if 1 fail, both fail
Raid 1 - increase redundancy, backups ur main drive periodically

But if u dun noe much abt it, it means u dun really need it...

if i were you i would go for the 4gb if playing watchdogs. This is because Watchdog takes up alot of Vram. However if playing games like crysis or batman, 2gb is enough for 1080p le
