If sticking to Intel can save Abit more by getting lower speed ram. It doesn't really impact games that much on an Intel system

At the cost of a more expensive cpu and (much more expensive)motherboard. A faster 3000mhz ram vs 2400mhz cost like what, 10 bucks more?

Yeah, now ram price quite stabilize. Shouldn't be too expensive to get 3200 mhz ram.

what is the speed difference between a 2666mhz vs 3000mhz vs 3200 mhz ram?

About a difference of 10fps between 2666 and 3000. That said, outside of gaming, you should see better performance like.....faster unzip/zipping speeds. I would say spend the extra 10 bucks as it really isn't alot.
