Advice from accounting experts?

I have a bachelor in accountancy from rmit. recently tinking of getting a higher qualification but not sure what i want. read up on CA/SQP cpa stuff but was very confused on how each works. the only thing i know is i dun tink i can fulfil the 3yrs experience requirement in ATOs for SQP.

any suggestions on what i can take on? is cpa australia a viable choice?

and no i m not considering acca

Can you fulfil the practical experience part in CPA Australia also?

Why do you needs a CPA Australia in the first place or you just cert collection?

this is the confusing part for me, the practical exp for cpa australia dunnid to be at ATOs, m i right? cos i already have 3 yrs of work experience, just not at ATOs.

Why do you needs a CPA Australia in the first place or you just cert collection?
i want to go further, i m currently stuck in a sme. going to strike when the time is right, get a certain amount of experience and with higher qualification maybe i can go further up?

You. Cpa Australia need not be ato. But if accredits is easier. They got a list of accredited org. So if not must fill in log book n all those. Quite mafan.

oh hmmm, do u know if i can apply for it now then straight fill up the log book while taking the papers, or the practical experience part can only be done after completing the papers? do our mentor need to be a cpa?

n is cpa australia rly worth going for or r there any better alternative?

CPA Australia.

Yup, you can do concurrently and mentor must have a CPA. CPA SG or CPA Australia will do fine.

Just wondering, do you mind to share what is your current job/qualification? Also what is your intention with the CPA? So it will be easier for us to comment.

thnx for the confirmation. currently an accounts executive in a sme, have a bachelor in acc from rmit. intention is to have a higher qualification to look for a better job

Why not choing for CPA SG & 'auto cross over' to grandfather CA SG? CPA Australia does not really help you much in SG & not to mention promotion. Your degree can already help you go for higher position in MNC too.
