[ADVICE] Help needed regarding PSU

Hi, I recently purchased a DIY gaming rig and the PSU that came with it was a icute 550W PSU. I'm not really sure about the reputation for icute PSUs so I want to ask if I should change my PSU to a more reputable brand? The computer has been working fine with no problems so far, just worried that if it fails will it damage the rest of my PC?

Btw my rig consists of a GTX 660 and i3-3220, 550w PSU is a safe wattage right?

yes its a safe watt for it. but icute i have heard of such brand but i have no idea on it reputations. still im not sure should u pull out another 100+/- bucks just to get a reputable psu though...

i3-3200 and GTX 660 are like 3-4 year old technologies?!

icutes are not very cute PSUs, unless they did a miraculous product turnaround which I've not heard of. Replace it.

can get FSP Hexa 450w or 550w .

I assume you bought a used system.

iCute makes cheap PSUs that are usually included free with some casings. The build quality is not as good as the more established brands but I've had two or three previously and they worked fine.

It is preferable to replace the PSU but it is really up to you whether you think the cost is justified bearing in mind what you paid for the system.

It is worth buying a good PSU, since it will last you through multiple system.

Yeah a rig that I build for my parents last year had the seasonic s12g. I was qutie surprised that a couple of people were having problems at the same time as me. But if dont get seasonic then go for what? Superflower?
