My budget will be around 1.7K for a custom gaming build. No monitors keyboards mouse needed and i would like to know where to buy all the parts for a newbie and if the store can help me set up the desktop thanks!

Building for futureproof? Nope.

None of the rigs recommended here is futureproof. Cause nothing is futureproof. Paying more also does not equate futureproofing. Upgrading it once every year is then futureproof.

Like it or not for pc to be futureproof you will need to update it constantly. Now you buy a b85, h87, z87 mobo all slowly going to be replaced by h97 and z97. Few more months down the road a new chipset is available.

Gpu. Now nvidia has is the 700 series, end of 2014 there is a 800 series. How long have 700 sreries being sold in market? The most 1.5years.

Cpu, there is not much leap of performance from sandy bridge till now. Yet every 1 year plus hey come out with a new cpu.

Buy what you need and what you can use.

If I were you I buy now. With the lowering prices of 290 and haswell cpus and 8series mobo, I think now buy still ok. If you want to wait ofc can.. But by the time a new gpu release, you will wait for price to drop and stocks to arrive. Then they plan for another new gpu then wait again for it to release. The cycle never ends lol

Its fine if you wanna change to Sharkoon T28. But this model is replacing by BD28 instead. Might be hard for you to find a T28 now in SLS.
