Advice needed for Taichung & Taipei

I'll be heading to Taiwan on early May, it will be a 9D8N trip.

Plan to head over to Taichung first, thinking whether to allocate 3/4nights over there, 1 day will be heading to Cingjing & Hehuanshan.

If Taichung have nothing much, I planning 3 nights there instead of 4.

What do you guys think ?

Day 1 >> HSR to Taichung. Pick up by driver to breakfast >rainbow village > carton king > summit resort > mushroom lunch > xinfeng grape farm > fengjia night market / hotel

Day 2 >> Cingjing farm > swiss garden > old England > cingjing minus

Day 3 >> Hewanshan wuling highest point > taroko > hualian night market / hotel

Day 4 > qixintan > tamshui, ximending > shilin > Taipei hotel

Day 5 > Yehliu > golden waterfall > jinguashan > jiufen old street > shifen sky lantern > raohe night mkt > Taipei hotel

Day 6 > last min shopping > airport

the discount varies based on timing and demand. go to the thsr website and check what are the early bird discounts available for a particular date.

HSR highest discount is 35%. Need to buy after the clock strikes 12am.

cos' 35% discount will be quickly grabbed. that's why need to buy when the clock strikes 12.

I think hsr tickets can be bought up to 28 days in advance. check their website for the correct info.
