Advice needed for upgrade

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of upgrading my current rig which had follow me for many years (still working condition).
Budget as little as possible <$800 , for normal gaming/usage StarCraft 2, Dota 2, Diablo 3, battlefield and normal watching drama/anime.

Thinking to reuse Monitor, ODD, HDD (maybe HD103SJ 1TB), Case, SSD, PSU, Keyboard and mouse.
Any recommendation for CPU & Mobo, Ram, Graphics card? Do you think I need to change my PSU and Case? Do I need to buy another windows 7 disc?

Hw old is your psu?

Cpu, mobo and ram needs to go. maybe gpu as well. A 750 would do well for your games.

Which battlefield u wanna play? BF1?

PSU around 3-4 yrs cant remember. Thinking to upgrade to catch up with the technology where I need the rig to last another 3-4yrs.

Ram and Mobo think its time to change. any recommendation?

To upgrade this rig, it is best to overhaul with reusing just the HDD, SSD, DVD writer, Monitor and peripherals.

What must go is the Mobo + CPU, Rams, Chassis (i dont think the ikonik en2 has USB 3.0 ports), PSU MUST go. PSU as it ages it degrades. As when they are not able to keep up with your power needs it will bloom.

Next is you can get a mid range gpus as i noticed you are only playing mostly Blizzards games.

Since you are on tight budget, go for ivy board and processor.

I saw the spec for CM311 chassis, it contain 2 USB 2.0 which I think is the same as my current EN2 (do I really need to change this or keeping EN2?)
Any other recommendation for Mobo + CPU?

Swap out the chassis for a chassis with 3.0 usb.

Doesnt mean that the mobo has means chassis dont really need.

Till the time you have any usb 3.0 stuffs and you need to use, each time you have to locate a port behind the pc. Why not have it at the front for convenient access?

Things that can be save up can be save up. Things that arent meant to save, just spend adequately.

Such as PSU, chassis, a decent quad core i5 for gaming.

A chassis last a life time. And if you are on budget, just get an ivy board with i5 3350p.

It's time to ditch that old fugly chassis la. A more expensive CPU+MB combo is not going to make your experience any better if you don't know what you are buying them for. A new chassis will freshen up the entire system and your ease of use as this is the thing you gonna see every single day.

2) I'm using new Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, however i notice i bought this from Amazon was without the KIT verison. Which means there's no mounting brackets and my this case do not have 2.5-Inch bay. Any idea where can i buy the mounting brackets?

Your Usb 3.0 wire should have the USB 2.0 connector, you can use that to connect to your MOBO

Dun need mounting bracket, just ghetto stick into any part of your rig or just leave it in a safe area. That's what i did for my fren until he changes his case.
