Dear all,

My current build is about 8yrs old.

Current :
Intel Xeon E3-1245, Gigabyte ZX77-UD3 M/B, 4 x 4 DDR3-1333 ram, Samsung Evo 120GB SSD (OS drive), Zotac GTX 970 4GB.

My build in mind :
CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ($282)
CPU Cooler : About $50
M/B : ASRock B450 Steel Legend ($157)
RAM : 2 x 8GB DDR4-3200 RGB ram (~$120)
OS Drive : NVMe M2 500/512GB (~$120)
Gfx : Zotac RTX 2060 6GB (~$440)
Monitor : Acer DM431M 43" 4K monitor (~$608)
PSU : Thermaltake Smart RGB 700W (~$85)
Casing : Will post those that I shortlist, please give advice

Total : $1,863

I will be getting RGB fan separately on AliExpress.

For all the pricing above, please share how to get cheaper. Please feel free to share options / variations of part from the above and do let us know why.

good choice ...

Uncle old liao, so more conservative.

Maybe I should just take this $2,000 and buy Suntec REIT instead. When Covid 19 blows over liao, liquidate and buy. LOL!

shopee end of the month got promos....

lazada 27 march got up to 1m vouchers giveaway.

basically u can bring down 30% of total costs.

btw...ryzen is $240 and below...... $280 is carrot chop.

for psu, u google "psu tier list linus tech tips"

2060 is a bit overpriced tho.

for case, don't go for looks....get something that will keep the dusts away...and got usb 3.0 and good airflow..........

So far, one of the feedback that most brought up is that the cable is standard length. For those who wants to do "swee swee" cable management best to skip this.

Good rig choice. Rtx 2060 is significantly more powerful than 1660super any day...
