Hi all, I'm building a new rig for work and some games; all recommendations are welcome! :)
Its my first time building, but I will have assistance from experienced friends.

Budget
S$800 to 1000, up to maximum of 1200, if required (desktop only)

CPU + Mobo
As I wont be adding much hardware, i will like to go for a mATX build. Please recommend!

For work, I will be using programs such as Acrobat Pro XI (maybe DC in the future), DWG viewer, MS office, email client and photo processing software etc. Around 3 winexplorer and 3-4 other programs will be open at one time. i5 enough right?

Also, I play quite a bit of TF2 and it's more CPU-intensive than GPU.

GPU
As I mentioned above, mostly TF2 and occasional Dota2. If I get an entry-level GPU, will it create a bottleneck for i5?

RAM
DDR4 8gig should be enough?

SSD + HDD
Is my budget enough for a 500gb SSD? Maybe can hold out for prices to drop even further.
A 500gb HDD is sufficient for me.

PSU
Please intro :s22:

Fan & Casing
Those branded casing like quite exp, i guess it's for their design. Corsair, Fractual or CM

Do I need many fans? It gets quite stuffy in the room actually.

Existing system and peripherals
Going to copy my system from my laptop to new rig, is it easy to do that?

Monitor: Viewsonic VX2770, its 60hertz, so not gonna have high framerate gaming

KB: Filco Ninja

Audio: Maybe getting Swan M10, any other recommendations around that price range?

Since you are comfortable with Amazon purchase, why not get these too?

http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-PC4-1...d=1448786608&sr=1-1&keywords=crucial+ddr4+8gb

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013WQC9Z2?refRID=EFKXR7DR55471Y5W943C&ref_=pd_ybh_a_8

Motherboard wise, still feel Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H more value for money for its features...

PSU wise, get FSP Aurum S cheaper...

As for chassis, if are looking for nice looking ones at low cost, Amaggraddon Microtron T2X @ $40 from Leapfrog website directly will be your best bet...

hi $face,

comparing the B150m to H170m, which one is more future-proof? Better to upgrade etc.

FSP quality wise is as good as Seasonic?

Maybe im not getting GPU, the onboard is good enough.

Nothing will futureproof if you never upgrade. Have you upgrade your current PC before?

Poorer than Seasonic but still great on overall.

Don't say until machiam SF like god la. :s22:

Seasonic is slightly better on overall basis. Only the recent explosion saga tarnished its reputation. Super Flower just offers much better value with solid quality...
