The best advice is to look for a job and not think about low to medium risk investment for now...If you start investing your money but could not find a job, you might be forced to liquidate your investment when the time comes...

How about trying out a new business...?Maybe can try something which you have a passion on interested in...

Not sure what is your profile. ie age, marital, dependents, etc.

Someone who is single and still living with working parents can afford to take higher risks with the money.

you dont need 6 months to get 40k if you have no job. you just need a few hours.

For long-term investment, I suggest sign up for regular investment plan which DCA into STI etf......then 30 years later u can retire like a boss!

If u looking for short-term.....can try Moolahsense but high risk hor...

Put the money into high interest savings acct such as cimb fast saver 1%.
Find out/research/ask what are some good stocks or reits and wait for them to drop...then buy buy buy!

I agree on that CIMB thing. I use it to stash my emergency cash, though I am thinking of moving some to SSB.

Keep it with the banks under those higher interest current account.. At least you can grow it at around 2.x% per annum..

Hi guys, any suggestions on how to get the next Olympic gold medal? Not physically fit at the moment, so need to find some ways. Best is no to little training required.

Is 6 months too short? Guess that would mean a little more training.

How to you reply to people with this kind of thinking?

Just start doing some real training. Be prepared for a lot of pains. Don't say 6 months, 6 years and you may not even get the gold, but at least you will be physically fit than now.

10 min of glory on television takes 10 years to train. People sees that 10 min and think it's all a walk in the park.
