I would like to buy a new PC.

I am considering DELL Inspiron Desktop for $899 with the following specifications.

4th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 Processor
Windows 8.1
8GB Memory
1TB Hard Drive

For the above budget, is it worth getting DIY PC?

Lastly, which LCD/LED monitor do you recommend?

Don't waste your money with OEM PC. If you aren't comfortable with building some here actually build for you and spec, everything done.
