Hi all,

Like many others, I'm building my own PC for the first time. Need advice on my selection of parts. My budget is flexible, I'm willing to change as long as it makes sense.

Perhaps some information to help you judge better,

  1. I will be using a 144hertz, 1440p monitor (May add 2nd monitor sometime later)
  2. Used mainly for gaming + coding.
  3. Want to have some LED elements to showcase the build, hence tempered glass case (Don't wanna overdo it though).
  4. Do I need more fans? Since this is my first build, not sure if i want to try AIO. Opinion?
  5. I'm particularly unsure about my RAM & Power Supply selection.
  6. Do I need to get an external wireless network adapter since the motherboard doesn't come with it?

Thank you so much in advance.

My only advise right now is to hold your horses. 3rd gen ryzen coming in July so it's not a very long wait.

Can always decide what to buy after launch.

As mentioned, Ryzen 3000 is coming in July.

However, if you really need one now, I would suggest Ryzen then, due to the fact that it come with 2 free games and with that, the price beat intel.

On further note, I would also highly recommend you to check your motheboard and see if it supports upcoming Ryzen 3000, if you ever want to switch to Ryzen 3000 later. It is rumored that all motherboard that has bios AGESA 0.0.7.x will support Ryzen 3000. Of course, I am sure some manufacturers already announced which motherboards will support Ryzen 3000.

Also, please clarify the games you play and the monitor you use.

EVGA - GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB XC ULTRA GAMING Video Card ($379.99 @ Amazon) :s22:

Dont complain if cannot play on high settings on some AAA title. Btw RTX 2060 Super 8GbEdition is the latest variant.

GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB is technically the slowest variant that gtx1660 Super is faster.

Wow I just plugged in my parts to the PCPARTPICKER website and the is ZERO advantage in buying online - refer to my profile for the parts I put into my build.

The problem we have today is that the shops are closed due to the "circuit breaker" situation were in now but if it was me I would wait for them to reopen and just buy everything at SLS and get local warranty.

The SLS Shops are on Lazada too.

Yes but I'm comparing the website as this is the pricing quoted in the list on the thread.

Also, I've seen in many threads that the SLS shops via Lazada do not deliver on time and you have to go through the heartache of requesting for a refund - this is not an option I will go for!

3300x is barely in stock and usually so far over msrp that ur better off getting the 3600. 3100 is far more sensible if looking to save money without losing too much in performance. also i agree on getting b450, tend to be higher quality than a520 boards without being much more expensive.
