Hi, need some advise from you guys in buying a mid range gaming desktop. I have little knowledge in the hardware stuffs, budget around 2k. Games I play include dota, diablo, guild wars and stuffs. My old pc for 5 years crashed on me, so I thought of getting a completely new one. Was looking at "hypergate" pc from aftershock from a brochure at comex @ 1799. Just wondering if it's worth the price. Or should I say what's a good spec I should look at in 2k range. Thanks :)

Usually the Comex pre-made CPUs are sold with a premium (as expected),but are hassle-free and instant. DIY needs your time and effort but in exchange you get performance boost, customizability and price reduction. Ultimately up to your own preferance

A good place to start would be to read the "Help me build a gaming desktop" posts we get about 2-3x daily on here. You'll be able to see the price lists, etc.
