Thanks yea I watched the video. I initially thought I just need to connect the ONR to D4 and my room LAN should work. But when I check my living room it is labeled as D5, which I would expect D5 to be connected in the DB box area but it's D1. So I am not sure what is going on? I am using singtel if it matters
My understanding is backend: terminal->modem->router->d1/d2 etc. Frontend: corresponding connected d(x) should have LAN connectivity.
There is a low possibility that the ports are mislabelled (either at the ONR end, or in the rooms).
If i understand,
1. you only have 1 wired device connected now. this is the wireless router in the hall, then,
2. D1 (patch panel in db box) <--> D5 outlet in living room. either one is mislabelled. maybe relabel the living room socket as D1 to match the db box
eg, room says D4, but in the db box, it connects to say, D2, then re-lable the room to D2.
then connect a from onr to D2, and in the room, your pc should be connected.
3. D4 in your room..... need to find out which port in the db box it connects to. when you find out, suggest, follow the naming scheme and relabel it with the same port number as in the db box.
4. while you are at it, it would be good to trace the other ports and re-label as needed.
