Need a pointer on my solving my issue of being conned in internet by an online eCommerce site based in US. In April 2020, i saw an interesting product in FB and clicked to buy it and i don't remember the site and paid for the product. But i noticed there was a SGD 42.00 charged with a name of greatdealdrops.com in this month's credit card statement and couldn't recall on purchasing anything recently. I searched my email and other place. There was no reference.

I searched google and found if you purchase any product with them they will enroll you for a membership which will be USD 30 month. Then i searched all my previous credit card statements and found this debit has been happening since Jun 2020. Then i visited this site and called their customer service based in US. After talking for 30 minutes, the CS personnel now is ready to refund only 50% of the this months' membership fee. I already argued him about how bad they are conning in people etc, but he said he can give only $21 out of $200.

After some search, i found i bought the product in platinumsavingshop.com and this site is linked to greatdealdrops.com and in credit card statement it appears as exportdiscounts.com.

Is there a way to escalate this and get full refund as there was nothing mentioned about membership when i bought the product and i wasn't aware of anything of i subscribed such a membership? This is purely scamming people.

Now i have asked him to cancel my membership as well as i cancelled my credit card.
