Have a 2013 imac which is obviously slowing down. Doesnt help that the HDD is not SSD i guess. I dont even have that many start up items, just an antivirus & canon utility.
Am looking at getting a new 27” imac but was wondering about specs. Im a very casual gamer & most of the time i use it for word, excel, safari & a bit of iMovie. I am thinking of getting the lowest end 27” but replacing the HDD with 1TB SSD.
Would that speed things up for my needs (esp mac start up & start up of each software)? Or does the RAM need to be boosted to 16GB as well? I guess faster processor is pointless for my needs. TIA!
