Hi guys, need some advice. I recently brought a isp but only realised after that that my parents have me insured under their ntuc incomeshield plan A as well. And they themselves only have their basic medishield life portion.
So should I drop one of these plans or should I change the insured person for the ntuc plan to my parents and continue with both plans? (understand that premiums will change if I were to change the insured).

Thanks a lot!

Firstly, if you're paying for the recently ISP by your medisave, the plan which your parent bought for you (if paid through their medisave) will be automatically cancelled.

Secondly, you cannot suka suka change the insured person from yourself to your parents. Every application will have to be underwritten, subject to their current health conditions.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot!Just to confirm my understanding So if I want to buy a isp for my parents technically I have to buy a new plan for them as the one which they are paying for me through medisave will be cancelled as I switched over to the new isp I am paying myself?

I would suggest doing an upgrade on your parents' existing plan rather than buying a new plan from a new insurer.
