1080p gives the most improvements.

just like the tech deals guy said, buy 1080ti(if u can afford) even if u playing 1080p which in long term and u can skip the next few gpu upgrades. TS is thinking of if he should have gotten an i7 8700k instead, it shows that he can afford in the first place...

ya lo thats what i am iterating.

there are people in hwz that will always insist not to buy an i7 and just use an i5 because of the reason, "you will not use the extra cores and wasting money bla bla bla" the argument can stretch with so many reasons just to save $100. lol...

problem is it is only $100 difference plus minus from an i5 to an i7 and at least it future proof a little longer. games in the future might use more cores eventually.

Actually the reason why i7 was even recommended was simply because the i5 8600k doesn't make sense money wise. I7 8700 non k is very close in pricing to it yet gives much more performance. The i5 8400 is a much better choice for budget users as the performance in gaming isn't very different from an i7. As for the i7 8700k, it's because no other k chip is worth it at that point of time.. be it the i3(lol what) or the i5.

BTW, u r using CM hyper 212?! what is the temp while gaming?

Gaming around mid to high 50C

Prime 95 AVX torture test around high 60C to low 70C.

Some fine examples would be Battlefield 1 and Assassin Creed Origins. CPU intensive games.
