Advice on need to upgrade com

Hi all,

My com had been around for close to 3 years and here are the specs:

CPU:i5-4570
Mobo: MSI B85M-G43
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
Memory: 8GB RAM

I am mostly using it to render videos for education and playing games like Overwatch, Hearthstone. I am kind off psyched for VR games and hope to jump on the bandwagon.

I can recycle my SSD, HDD and peripherals and am holding onto a budget of less than 2k

Please advice if an upgrade is due.

Is my PSU sufficient to support the card? Im running a Seasonic 520-GM with 80 plus bronze

And while searching for a 1080 GTX card, what specs should i go with apart from at least 8GB?

Psu is enough for 1070 got sure. The reason for 1070 is the performance per dollar is the best for the 1000 series cards.

If you want a 1080 no one will stop you. Difference is 20-40% difference depends on applications. But it's safer to upgrade psu as well if you truly intend to get 1080.
